Don't worry about making social gaffes, they won't be held against you by the locals - after all, you are a foreigner and can't be expected to now any better! ;)JANEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17412781024925055597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6630355680050775256.post-29758465402834524092011-07-22T16:50:12.903+01:002011-07-22T16:50:12.903+01:00Oh VegemiteVix...I love it. Now I shop online and read while commuting. Hmmmm...I'm single again now. Might be time to rethink these habits.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09420852941644763293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6630355680050775256.post-7599052106937446772011-07-22T07:37:48.387+01:002011-07-22T07:37:48.387+01:00Completely love this post! I'm reading 'Watching the English' by Essie Fox and so far I've made every social faux pas I could possibly make including - befriending people on public transport, saying hello to people in the street, introducing myself at parties and even telling them my name, and answering the questions about what I did at home and what my life was like, honestly. My Englishman was horrified about the last one, and pointed out that I offended the person. What? Because I answered the question? Weird. Just weird. But I think this should definately be part of the living in england test.vegemitevixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08499944412217904302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6630355680050775256.post-70195339553126583782011-04-02T17:19:25.491+01:002011-04-02T17:19:25.491+01:00Thanks for your comments guys!

After all, if you are planning a longer stay, you really should learn the lingo.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09420852941644763293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6630355680050775256.post-82215346832462695392011-04-01T11:46:51.509+01:002011-04-01T11:46:51.509+01:00Haha!
